Photo & Story Submission

*Guidelines for content:

• Must include your NAME and NAMES of any and all people in your photos and stories (along with their permission!). Names of horses/dogs, etc. are appreciated!

• Must include LOCATIONS, especially if it's a recommended location!

• Photos must be focused and clear. If they aren't they won't be entered in the magazine.

• You don't have to be a writer to send me a story! I'm more than happy to help, if you need it. 

• Cover Photo Contest:

  • Photos must be in Portrait (tall photo/not wide photo). To qualify it has to be very focused and very clear

• Trail Shots

  • Photos must be focused and clear, must include location

• Story / Article

  • Stories / Articles need to pertain to the trail riding lifestyle, on the trails, back at camp or on the ranch

  • Can be anywhere from 500 to 2,000 words

  • Preferred to have 1 photo per 200 words for layout

• Cowboy Poetry / Short Story

  • 500 words or less​

  • 1 to 5 photos appreciated

• Helpful Tips

  • Can be anything from tips for camping, riding, packing, ranching, etc. If it's helpful to a trail rider, we'll submit it!

• Camp Recipe

  • Need the name of the recipe, your name, ingredients and instructions. Photos are encouraged of the recipe and/or pictures around the campfire!​

• Inspirational

  • Inspirational stories can be personal trial to victory stories that effected your trail riding life, it can be stories about others who've helped others along the "trail" of life, such as equine therapy organizations, etc. If you think it will inspire someone, then send it in!

  • It can be anywhere from 500 to 2,000 words

  • Preferred to have 1 photo per 200 words for layout. 

• Recommended Trail Destination

  • Name of Destination, Location of Destination, Contact info.

  • 500 Words (If it's longer than 500 words it will fall under the Story/Article category.

  • 4 to 8 photos

• Birthday / Anniversary / Memorial

  • Name of person or pet

  • Specify Birthday, Anniversary or In Memory Of

  • 100 words or less (if it's more than 500 words it will fall under Article/Story

• Other

  • Whatever else you think I missed!​​
